LEGAL BASIS
FOR THE PENSION FUND

Law No. 76/2023 "On Private Pension Funds" approved by the Parliament of the Republic of Albania and the regulations approved by the Supervisory Authority are the foundation of the activities and operations of the Private Pension Fund. The requirements of the law and regulations form an integral part of the SIGAL pension prospectus.

CUSTODIAN.

The Fund does not carry any risk from the Custodian Bank or the Management Company, according to Albanian law and international principles for the creation and management of Funds
The assets of the Fund cannot be subject to claims or executions made in the name and on behalf of the creditors of the Management Company or the Custodian. The Fund cannot be part of bankruptcy proceedings. Custodian Bank:

  • Licensed by the Bank of Albania and the Financial Supervisory Authority for the custodianship and depositary activity of Pension Funds;
    të Fondeve të Pensionit;
  • Regulated and supervised by the FSA (Financial Supervisory Authority);
  • Protects the interests of the members in the fund;
  • Reports any violations by the Management Company to the FSA;
  • Performs the function of controlling legal compliance and providing independent reporting for the Fund.
